Rev. Kathy Heustess
​Executive Director of Coastal Samaritan Counseling Center

As a little girl in Washington Court House, Ohio, Kathy envisioned a future as a nurse...or maybe a ballerina.  It wasn't until later that her true calling became clear: "When I was in seminary, people always came to my room to talk.  I found that being present alongside people in their most vulnerable times was a tremendous privilege.  I was smitten by the experience and it continues to be my passion." 

​Today, Kathy's career as an Executive Director and Pastoral Counselor continues to be the most challenging and rewarding jobs she has ever had.  Kathy is married to Bill, a native South Carolinian and United Methodist pastor.  They have two children, John Philip and Bethany.  Kathy enjoys playing the piano, decorating magazines, and college football.
