Short Term Learning Opportunities & Bible Studies

First Methodist Church Myrtle Beach offers opportunities enabling growth in your spiritual journey, knowledge of God, and fellowship with believers. ​Studies, when available, will appear in the Option list below. Classes generally last 6 to 12 weeks. Please consider being a part of one of our new small group studies as they become available and register below. 

Experiencing God! 
Brenda Bellamy will lead this 12-week study on Tuesday evenings at 6PM in the 925 classroom for approximately two hours starting January 14, 2025. We will learn how to better hear God and share in small groups. Will you come with us to seek Jesus?

Financial Peace University 
Take control of your money with Financial Peace University! This 9-week class uses biblical wisdom and common sense to help you tackle budgeting, pay off debt, and make your money work for you! Classes will meet on Tuesday evenings beginning January 21, 2025 at 6PM in the MD Moore classroom, W-105. Clark & Piper Butler will be leading the class. The program costs $60 per couple and includes all materials and one year of access to the Ramsey+ platform. 

Kingdom Discipleship
Join Rev. Joel McMakin for an 8-week study on becoming a disciple of Christ. Classes will be held Sunday evenings at 5:15PM  beginning January 26, 2025 at the Brittain Center, North Campus.
Jesus commanded his disciples to make disciples. His teaching focused on God's kingdom, rule, and reign. Jesus introduced this kingdom with his first inhale and exhaled, "It is finished" on the cross. He rose from the dead and made clear to his followers that a new day had dawned. He taught his disciples for 40 days about the kingdom before he ascended into heaven, and he promised them, "I will return." We take Jesus' instruction, "Make disciples,” seriously.
